Coronavirus – COVID-19 – Cases and Deaths by country as of Feb 11th

Coronavirus has over the past few days been stabilizing. At least that is what the Chinese government has been reporting with respect to the number of cases and the number of deaths. If you look at the numbers below, it is obvious to the whole world that the major cases and deaths have been from China mainland, especially from the Hubei province. Something changed with these numbers over the last week.

These numbers have stabilized. However, there are rumors that the Chinese government has changed the way they have reported numbers over the last few days where they do not any more count the patients that are asymptomatic in the number of cases. This does not mean these patients are not virus free, it just means that these patients are not showing any symptoms. What could go wrong with that right? China is reporting this number as ‘Medical attention receiving patients’ until now, and this number has dramatically decreased with this ‘change’ (I don’t know if I would call it that) in reporting.

Below is a chart of what that has done over the last 3-5 days where the numbers have dramatically fallen. Below this image is a list of countries and the number of cases Coronavirus – by the way – newly named as COVID-19 has impacted.

The so-called “first case” of Corona Virus reported in the Philippines around Feb. 1, 2020 was not the first case. A 44-year old Alaskan Native arrived in Zamboanga on Dec. 28, 2019. He was healthy at the time. He came down with a virus and was admitted to a Hospital in Quezon City on Dec. 31, 2019. He was kept in the hospital and posted a photo of himself being visited by his girlfriend and family on Jan..7 and he looked healthy and happy. On Jan. 14 he died on pneumonia. His body was not shipped back to his family until about 2 weeks later. His family had to pay about $25,000 to doctor, hospital, funeral parlor, etc. This may very well be the REAL first case. It is a sad story.

    1. Yes, I have been hearing about multiple cases like this across the world and in China which are purposefully being tagged as ‘pneumonia’ and being handled very differently than you would handle a true pneumonia case.
Thank you for commenting and sharing the new you are aware of. Appreciate the attempt to grow awareness. Folks need to come out like this and post these messages so the rhetoric changes to truth.
